The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) is actively procuring pulses at Minimum Support Prices (MSP) through its authorised purchase centres across producing states, providing assured remuneration and payment to farmers.
The procurement drive is being implemented under the central government’s price support mechanism to protect farmers from market volatility and distress sales during peak arrivals.
By purchasing pulses directly at MSP, NAFED is ensuring that growers receive fair value for their produce, while also strengthening the cooperative-led procurement and buffer stock system for essential food commodities. Payments to farmers are being made through secure and transparent digital modes, enhancing confidence and trust in the procurement process.
Farmers willing to sell their produce can register themselves on the e-Samridhi portal at https://esamridhi.in, which enables online registration, verification, and smooth coordination with procurement agencies. The initiative is expected to boost farmer participation, improve price realisation, and reinforce the role of cooperatives in agricultural marketing and income stability.
