Indian ambassador Abhay Kumar handed over 5000 MT Rice supplied by Govt. of India as a humanitarian assistance through agri cooperative NAFED to Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina at the Lavoloha Palace on Wednesday.
Reacting to this External Affairs Minister of India Dr S Jaishankar tweeted, “India has always stood with Madagascar, our Indian Ocean neighbour. Will continue to work for our SAGAR vision for a secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific”.
Later on, the news was shared by Nafed through its official twitter handle.
Earlier, India donated 15,000 bicycles to Madagascar.
