NAFED AGM pays condolences to delegates killed in accident

The three delegates of NAFED from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu were killed when their SUV fell from a flyover after hitting a Tamil Nadu government bus at Thekkalur in Tirupur district on Friday.

NAFED Board Members and delegates paid condolence to the departed souls in the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday in Delhi. The deceased were coming to the city from Pallipalayam in Namakkal when the mishap occurred, police said.

The deceased identified as Tiruchengode Cooperative society chairman N Kandhasamy (64), Cooperative society, president K Kathirvel (50), Kachipally cooperative society secretary R.Rathinam (55), were going to Airport to become a part of the NAFED AGM that took place in NCUI, New Delhi on Saturday.

The vehicle, which was on the six-lane highway, suddenly collided with the bus and under the impact fell from the flyover.
