Laxmi Das, who also serves as the Chairman of the National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB), has been re-elected as the Chairman of Delhi’s largest cooperative bank, Kangra Cooperative Bank. The election was held recently.
In a direct contest, Das secured a record victory by defeating his opponent, Sudesh Shukla, by a margin of 2,347 votes, leading to the forfeiture of his rival’s deposit.
Under his leadership, his panel achieved a landslide victory, securing all office-bearer and director board positions in the bank.
His re-election reaffirms the trust and confidence of the cooperative banking community in his leadership and vision for the bank’s future.
