A three-day training programme under NABARD’s SOFTCOB scheme is underway at the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Pune, with the second day devoted to cyber security and Information Systems (IS) audit.
The programme aims to strengthen digital preparedness and governance standards in cooperative banks. Guest faculty Shri Kiran Patole highlighted the critical importance of data centre and disaster recovery centre security, data protection and robust business continuity planning in an increasingly digital banking environment.
Dr. Yashwant S. Patil underlined that audit and IS audit form the backbone of a resilient banking system, ensuring transparency and risk mitigation. The interactive sessions encouraged practical discussions, equipping participants to address emerging cyber threats and future regulatory challenges effectively.
