Nabard has given Punjab whopping financial support of Rs 12,491 crore for fiscal 2021-22, reports PTI. It has been supporting Punjab in the development of various infrastructural facilities and in refinancing rural financial institutions.
Nabard extended refinance support of Rs 11,636 crore to state cooperative banks, Punjab Gramin Bank, and other agencies for financing agriculture operations of farmers and rural enterprises.
The national bank has also released Rs 7.29 crore for developmental activities in Punjab focusing on diversification, farmers’ producer organizations (FPOs) in the fisheries and dairy sectors
