NABARD has recently given the third tranche of financial assistance of Rs 10,000 crore to Odisha, reports PTI. The bank had given Rs 14,715 crore to the state in the last fiscal.
Under the refinance scheme, NABARD has given Rs 4,861 crore to cooperative banks for production of crops by about 3 million farmers in Odisha.
A source says NABARD has been liberal with loans for the cooperative sector in the state.
