Himachal Pradesh State Co-operative Bank in collaboration with Nabard organized a one-day financial literacy camp at Kotli tehsil of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh.

The program was presided over by Rakesh Thakur, Financial Literacy Coordinator of the Cooperative Bank’s Mandi Office.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that due to lack of financial literacy, people are not able to manage their money properly, and they have to face financial difficulties. Savings can not only help build wealth and resources, but also help deal with financial troubles.”

He said that such camps are organized to make people self-reliant. The state government is running many welfare schemes through banks to financially empower the needy people of society. People should take advantage of these schemes.

Rakesh Rana, the head of the local panchayat, thanked the officials of the bank for making them aware about the government schemes.
