BJP leader Pravin Darekar who once had used a fake labour society membership to get elected as a director of Mumbai DCCB has now been unanimously chosen as the Chairman of the bank, Media reports say.
NCP leader and former bank chairman Siddharth Kamble will work with him as the bank’s vice chairman.
This means the cooperative body will now be led by BJP-NCP-parties fiercely opposed to each other in the Maharashtra politics.
It is worth mentioning that during the previous govt led by Udhav Thakre, a FIR had been filed against Pravin Darekar.
