HT reports Mumbai’s ACB has arrested a cooperative department functionary for allegedly taking a Rs 1 lakh bribe from a resident for looking into irregularities indulged in by the committee members of his cooperative housing society.
The ACB also found a sub-registrar to be involved in bribery charges but his arrest could not be carried out because he had tested positive for Covid-19.
The sub -registrar had demanded Rs 3 lakh to get an administrator appointed for the society and ensure action against the erring society members.
