MSCB: Administrator’s term likely to be extended

278888-chandrakantAsian Age reports a a highly placed source claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena government has decided to extend the term of Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank’s administrator to keep the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party from coming to power in the bank.

The source said that the file for changing the bank administrator is with chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and the decision would be taken very soon. The chief minister would change the existing administrator after a couple of months.

Minister for cooperative department, Chandrakant Patil, confirmed that the issue is under consideration. “We have to extend the term of administrator, but the issue will be discussed in the state Cabinet meeting before taking a final decision,” said Mr Patil.
