MP: Sah Bharati protests, seek holding of co-op elections

The Madhya Pradesh unit of RSS affiliated co-operative organization Sahakar Bharati organized a massive protest at Ambedkar Park, Bhopal on Monday for holding elections in the cooperatives, which has not been held for more than three years. Thousands of Sahakar Bharati workers were assembled there.

“When it comes to co-operatives, we overlook all other affiliations”, said a Sahakar Bharati Karyakarta justifying the protest against its own BJP govt of Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

In the 97th amendment of the constitution, it has been clearly stated that the elections of cooperative institutions cannot be delayed for more than one year”, he added.

On this occasion, State General Secretary of Sahakar Bharti Yogendra Singh, Organization head Rakesh Chauhan, Prakash Ratan Parkhi, Kanchan Singh, Shivnarayan Patidar, Bhupendra Nayak and others were present.
