MP opens new branch building of Vaidyanath Urban Co-op Bank

The Member of Parliament from Beed, Maharashtra Pritam Munde inaugurated the newly constructed branch building of Vaidyanath Urban Cooperative Bank at Georai in Beed, last week.

Sharing the news with Indian Cooperative, Ashok Jain, Chairman, Vaidyanath Urban Cooperative Bank said, “Dr. Pritam Munde has inaugurated our newly constructed branch building at Georai in Beed. Though we have not shifted our branch into the new premises but will soon do so. Munde is also on our board”, he informed.

“The bank has 41 branches across the Maharashtra and a business mix of Rs 1650 crore. The Deposits are Rs 1000 crore and loans and advances are about Rs 650 crore. The bank had earned a net profit of Rs 5.5 crore in the last financial year i.e. 2018-19”, Jain said to Indian Cooperative correspondent on the phone.

Besides, Munde has also shared the details with photographs through social media. She wrote, “The inauguration of the branch building at Georai of Vaidyanath Urban Co-operative Bank took place today. I expressed the belief that the services now would greatly improve. The new building would help the bank strengthen its administration as well as its relationship with members”, she wrote.

Readers would recall that the bank hogged the media headlines in 2016 when the CBI registered a case against two officials of the bank controlled by BJP MP Pritam Munde and some others, following recovery of Rs 10 crore in demonetized notes.
