Madhya Pradesh Cooperation Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang held a detailed review meeting regarding the preparations for the upcoming All India Cooperative Week.
During the meeting, he emphasized organizing public awareness programs that encourage greater citizen participation and interest in the cooperative movement.
The Minister directed that special focus should be placed on promoting cooperative banks and learning from the successful cooperative models of Maharashtra. He instructed that a dedicated discussion session be organized to explore innovative ideas in this area.
Sarang also called for the creation of a platform to connect cooperative societies and local producers directly with consumers, promoting indigenous products and enhancing rural entrepreneurship.
He further stressed that state-level exhibitions based on the “Vocal for Local” theme should be given importance, highlighting self-reliant initiatives and innovative local products. These exhibitions, he said, would serve as a key step toward strengthening the cooperative sector and boosting the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat in Madhya Pradesh.
