Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed the expansion of dairy production activities under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model during a meeting of the State-level Steering Committee formed under the agreement between the Madhya Pradesh State Co-operative Dairy Federation and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

The Chief Minister also issued instructions to expand the Sanchi brand, introduce dairy technology training and courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), ensure regular monitoring of milk procurement systems, maintain transparency in the purchase process, and guarantee timely payments to milk producers.

It was informed in the meeting that 1,241 new milk co-operative societies have been formed so far, while 635 defunct societies have been revived. To digitally integrate the entire dairy value chain, software systems have been implemented in the milk unions of Bhopal, Gwalior, Ujjain, Bundelkhand, and Jabalpur. In addition, the Indore Milk Union has introduced a mobile application for milk collection, enabling real-time information on milk quantity, quality, and pricing.

The state has set ambitious targets to expand dairy co-operative coverage to 26,000 villages by 2029–30, achieve daily milk sales of 3.5 million litres, and enhance milk processing capacity to 6.33 million litres per day. Activities are being carried out in line with these goals to strengthen the co-operative dairy sector across Madhya Pradesh.
