MP: 351 PACS to be converted into multipurpose co-ops

Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Shri Kamal Patel handed over a letter of in principle approval of Rs 100 crore to Shri Pradeep Neekhra, MD, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited, at the Regional Office of NABARD on behalf of NABARD. He informed that with this amount 351 primary agricultural cooperative societies will be converted into multipurpose societies.

Minister Shri Patel informed that with this amount provided by NABARD, farmers will be able to receive information regarding storage, grading, sorting and other agricultural information through primary agricultural cooperatives. Apart from this, people will also get the facility of e-mandis. The said amount is being provided under the Agri Infrastructure Fund (AIF).

Chief General Manager of NABARD, Sushri TSG Gain, Agriculture Production Commissioner, Shri K.K. Singh, Commissioner Cooperatives Shri Ashish Saxena, General Manager Shri Dushyant Singh Chouhan, Shri Y.N. Mahadevia and Shri M.I. Khan was also present on the occasion.
