Union Minister of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar, chaired a review meeting to assess the progress on directions issued for enhancing media outreach and publicity in the cooperative sector on Thursday.

The meeting focused on strengthening communication mechanisms, adopting innovative media strategies, and increasing public engagement to align with the Ministry’s vision of a more informed and participative cooperative movement.

Gurjar emphasized the need for impactful storytelling and modern outreach tools to highlight the achievements and contributions of cooperatives nationwide.

The Minister underscored the potential of the ‘Bharat Organics’ initiative, urging its promotion through narratives centred around health and wellness. He also stressed the use of social media as the most effective medium to connect with youth and rural audiences.

Encouraging creativity in content dissemination, Gurjar advised developing short-form content such as reels and YouTube videos to illustrate the real-world impact of the Ministry’s initiatives.

All officials and stakeholders were instructed to prepare a comprehensive action plan to strengthen social media presence and inclusive communication among cooperative societies and beneficiaries.

The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary Anand Kumar Jha, Director Kapil Meena, senior officials, and representatives from national-level cooperative federations.
