In a significant move to assess the grassroots impact of cooperative institutions, Union Minister of State for Cooperation Muralidhar Mohol, visited the Sekhuikala Multipurpose Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in Balrampur district.
During his visit, the Minister reviewed the operations and services being provided by the PACS to rural communities.
Established in 1959, the Sekhuikala PACS currently serves 29 villages across the district and has achieved an annual turnover of over Rs 80 lakh, showcasing its vital role in strengthening the local rural economy.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohol emphasized that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, efforts are underway to make PACS institutions across the country stronger, more transparent, and fully digitized.
He reiterated the government’s firm commitment to the mantra of ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ (Prosperity through Cooperation), highlighting that every PACS in the nation is being empowered to become modern, self-reliant, and a key contributor to India’s rural development agenda.
