IFFCO organized a cooperative Seminar at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Auditorium, Lucknow on Monday, in which Union Minister of State for Cooperation B L Verma was the Chief Guest, and the seminar was presided over by UP BJP Chief Swatantra Dev Singh.

Besides cooperators including NCDC GC Member Dhananjay Singh, State Cooperative Minister Mukut Bihari Verma, Sugarcane Minister Suresh Rana and MLC Vidyasagar Sonkar were the Guests of Honour at the event.

In his address Verma attacked the Samajwadi Party saying they had not done anything for the development of the cooperative sector of the state. Earlier the government had misused co-ops for their political benefits but we would not spare those who tarnished the image of this sector.

“In a bid to give a boost to this sector, our government has made a separate ministry for co-ops for realizing the vision of prosperity through cooperatives”, he added.
