Haryana Cooperative Minister Banwari Lal inaugurated the 60 kilo litres per day (KLPD) Molasses based Ethanol plant at the Shahabad cooperative sugar mills on Monday.
Haryana Sugarfed Chairman Ramakaran Kala, Sugarcane Control Board of Haryana, Member, Jashwinder Khehra and others were present on this occasion.
The Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mills Ltd is one of the best sugar manufacturing cooperative societies in India. It also generates and sells power. It has a crushing capacity of 5000 tonnes of sugar cane per day with a 24 MW Cogeneration Plant.
The cooperative mills won the 1st position in the Technical Efficiency Award 2020-21. at the national level.
