Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah stated that the Ministry of Cooperation ranks 4th among all ministries on YouTube and 7th in terms of website engagement and traffic, highlighting its growing digital presence. Special campaigns and posts on landmark initiatives continue to attract high engagement, especially during major national events and observances.
Currently, the Ministry’s combined following across platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp, has crossed 6 lakh followers/subscribers. Its YouTube channel alone has recorded over 1.4 crore video views.
Over the past four years, the Ministry of Cooperation has significantly enhanced its digital and media outreach to strengthen public engagement and awareness about the cooperative sector.
By leveraging both traditional and digital platforms, and working in collaboration with the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the Ministry has regularly published press releases and articles in leading newspapers, while simultaneously expanding its social media footprint.
All national-level events chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the Hon’ble Home and Cooperation Minister are live-streamed on the Ministry’s official YouTube channel. Press releases, news updates, and key achievements are regularly shared on the Ministry’s official website, which is available in multiple languages to ensure broader inclusion and accessibility, the reply in Lok Sabha added.
