The Ministry of Cooperation has designated key officials to handle Right to Information (RTI) matters pertaining to the Cooperative Election Authority (CEA), in a move aimed at strengthening transparency and public access to information.
According to an official memorandum issued with the approval of the Chairperson of the Cooperative Election Authority and Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS), Kamal Nain, Section Officer (CEA), has been appointed as the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO). Additionally, Vinay Kumar Ginni, Assistant Director in the Office of the CRCS, has been nominated as the First Appellate Authority (FAA) for RTI matters related to the Cooperative Election Authority. His email ID is vinay.ginni84@gov.in.
The jurisdiction of these appointments specifically covers matters pertaining to the Cooperative Election Authority under the RTI Act, 2005. The decision is expected to facilitate smoother handling of RTI queries and promote a culture of openness and accountability within the cooperative sector.
