In a momentous development, IFFCO Managing Director Dr. Udai Shanker Awasthi has been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Inventorship by the Patent Office under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, for the invention titled “Nano Urea Fertiliser and Method of Manufacture Thereof.”
The patent, numbered 508189, was granted on January 12, 2023, with the application originally filed on June 3, 2025, by the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO).
This groundbreaking innovation represents a significant leap forward in sustainable agriculture and fertilizer technology, promising enhanced nutrient delivery efficiency to crops while reducing environmental impact and input costs for farmers.
Following this recognition, Awasthi’s followers flooded social media with congratulatory messages.
