Uttarakhand Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi participated in the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Directors of the Bahuuddeshiya Sadhan Sahkari Samiti, Chandroti held on Thrusday at Sinola, Dehradun.
Extending his best wishes to all newly elected office-bearers, the minister highlighted the state government’s continuous efforts to strengthen cooperative institutions. He said that cooperatives play a crucial role in creating new opportunities for farmers, women, youth and local entrepreneurs, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
Describing cooperatives as one of the most effective engines of economic empowerment, Joshi stressed that these bodies can succeed only when their representatives work with sensitivity, transparency and a genuine spirit of service.
Expressing confidence in the new leadership, he said he firmly believes that the elected members will work with the resolve to ensure benefits reach the last person in society and will contribute actively to local employment generation.
