Madhya Pradesh Cooperation Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang has directed officials to make Markfed self-reliant while ensuring timely availability of fertilizers to farmers across the state. Emphasising efficiency and sustainability, the minister called for strengthening the cooperative’s operational capacity to better serve agricultural needs.
He also stressed the revival of closed units under Markfed, highlighting their potential to boost productivity and resource utilisation. In addition, Sarang directed authorities to undertake digital mapping of assets to improve transparency, monitoring and effective management.
The move is aimed at enhancing the role of cooperatives in supporting farmers, ensuring smooth input supply, and building a more robust agricultural support system in Madhya Pradesh.
