A P Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Tribal Welfare P. Pushpa Srivani has instructed her officials to improve the conditions of the Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC), reports the Hindu.
The minister was addressing the staff after a review meet on the GCC and coffee business. Ms. Srivani urged the GCC to go to the interior villages and procure products from the farmers.
She also announced plans to establish processing units of coffee, turmeric and other products. Araku MP G. Madhavi, Paderu MLA K. Bhagya Lakshmi and others were present in the meeting.
