According to the Hindu reports, Karnataka Minister for Cooperation K.N. Rajann said cooperative societies should work together to ramp up economic activities in the countryside thereby helping the country become a $5 trillion economy.
The minister was speaking at the 70th All-India Cooperative Week celebration organised by the Karnataka State Cooperative Federation, Karnataka State Cooperative Marketing Federation, and the South Canara District Central Cooperative (SCDCC) Bank.
The event was attended by several prominent people including Karnataka Assembly Speaker, local parliamentarian and cooperative functionaries.
