Jyoti Meher has been elected Chairperson of the Maharashtra State Fishermen’s Cooperative Federation, Mumbai. He is said to be a Prakash Lonare protégé.
The election saw active efforts from several key individuals, including retired judge Chandralal Meshram, Adv. J.T. Patil, Prakash Lonare, Nana Kadam, Manohar Baile, Arpita Koli, Sitaram Nakhwa, Rajan Meher, Nandkumar Nagare, Ravibaba Patil, Kiran Gite, and Tukaram Wankhede.
With this victory, Prakash Lonare and his group have established leadership over the federation. Their collective work and coordination were seen as instrumental in securing this outcome.
