Gujarat based Amreli Jilla Madhyastha Sahakari Bank will soon organize a mega “Sahakar Sammelan” in collaboration with Amreli District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union popularly known as AMR Dairy, Gujarat Mahila Credit Cooperative Society in Amreli.
Sharing the details of the upcoming conference, Chairman of AJMS Bank Dileepbhai Sanghani said “We are organizing a mega Sahakar Sammelan in Amreli where Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh will be the chief guest and Union Minister of State for Agriculure Parshottam Rupala will inaugurate the event.”
It will be a show with a gathering of about 5 thousand people including 3 thousand women’ participants, Sanghani said to this correspondent.
Sanghani who is the Chairman of Nafscob (Apex body of State Cooperative Banks) and Vice-Chairman of NAFED said “Cooperative is the only sector catering to the needs of the weaker sections of society – something in stark contrast to International Companies earning profit and sending it to their respective countries”.
There is a need to promote the cooperative sector in a big way and the government should recognize the value of cooperatives working at the grassroots level, Sanghani said.
Amreli Jilla Madhyastha Sahakari Bank has more than 70 branches in the District. The bank gave 15 percent dividend to the member societies this year. The bank is also providing inter -branch transaction and SMS alert facilities to the customers.
