The Department of Water Resources (WRD) and the Department of Cooperation, Government of Goa, jointly organized a Cooperative Societies Meet on Monday for Bardez and Pernem Talukas as part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwada 2025 celebrations.
The initiative was aimed at engaging all cooperative societies registered in the two talukas and strengthening their role in local development, in line with the spirit of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025.
The program was graced by the Minister for Cooperation, Subhash Shirodkar, who emphasized the vital role of cooperatives in driving socio-economic growth at the grassroots level.
He urged cooperative societies to adopt innovative practices, improve governance, and expand their reach to meet the needs of rural communities more effectively.
The meet served as a platform for dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collective action, reinforcing the government’s commitment to strengthening the cooperative movement in Goa.
