Meena visits Sikkim SCU, stresses Co-op Growth

The Sikkim State Cooperative Union (SICUN) warmly welcomed Kapil Meena, IAS, Director, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, during his official visit to Gangtok.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Purna Sharma, Vice Chairman of SICUN, followed by self-introductions from all SICUN employees. Phadung Bhutia, CEO of SICUN, presented an overview of the organization’s structure, functions, and ongoing initiatives.

He was joined by Dr. Mangaljit Rai Ranasampang, Chairman of SICUN, who shared key milestones and achievements of the Union in promoting cooperative growth in the state.

In his address, Kapil Meena emphasized the importance of strategic planning and goal-oriented implementation aligned with the Five-Year Plan. He urged SICUN to enhance business activities, expand its digital and social media outreach, and strengthen data management systems in training and education.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Smt. Indira Sharma, Executive Officer, SICUN.
