The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has decided to permit Managing Directors and Chief Executive Officers of 18 National Level Cooperative Federations to apply for board-level positions in Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).
The decision has been conveyed by the Ministry of Cooperation through an official communication, based on a D.O. letter issued by the Secretary, PESB.
As per the decision, eligible officers from the notified National Level Cooperative Federations will be allowed to apply under the “Private Category” for board-level posts in CPSEs advertised by PESB, subject to fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility conditions as applicable to the respective posts.
The Ministry has circulated the decision to 18 National Level Cooperative Federations, including IFFCO, KRIBHCO, NAFED, NCUI, TRIFED, NAFCUB, FISHCOPFED, NCCF, NCDFI, NAFCARD, BBSSL, NCOL, NCEL, among others, and has requested them to disseminate the information internally so that eligible MDs, CEOs and equivalent senior officers may apply in accordance with PESB norms.
The move formally recognises senior leadership experience in national cooperative institutions and enables their participation in the top-level management of CPSEs.
