Marathe to lecture on co-op movement

The patron of Sahakar Bharati and senior cooperator Satish Marathe has been invited to speak on “Cooperative Movement in India and Abroad: The Road Ahead” in Tumkar University in Karnataka.

A recipient of IFFCO Sahakar Ratna Award Marathe is a great champion of cooperative movement and tours around the country helping the cooperative movement grow. Writing on his FB Marathe says “ Tomorrow, at the invitation of Tumkur University, I shall have a very special privilege to address Research Scholars, Faculty Students and Delegates from Universities of Ktaka on the Subject : CoOp Movement in India and Abroad: The Road Ahead.”

The Special Lecture has been jointly organised by the Departments of Commerce, Economics and Management of Tumkur University.

Tumkur University was established in 2004 in Tumkur, Karnataka, India. It was carved out of Bangalore University to accommodate the needs of the students from Tumkur district.

Established under the Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000, as a multi-faculty university, it has 12 postgraduate departments, 2 constituent colleges and 94 affiliated colleges. It established 29 research centres to promote advanced multi-disciplinary research and academic collaborations.
