An award has been conferred on Thimmaiah Shetty chairman of Karnataka based Manvi Pattana Souharda Bank on the occasion of the 83rd Akhila Bharatha Kannnada Sahitya Sammelena in Mysore last week.
The conference was organized by the Kannada Sahitya Parishath sponsored by State Government.
An enthusiastic Shetty has shared several photographs on his receiving the award through Whatsapp and said “Ex Prime Minister of India H.D.Deve Gowda has felicitated me on the occasion of the 83rd Akhila Bharatha Kannnada Sahitya Sammelena for rendering services for the welfare of society by empowering the poor people and providing them education.”
Shetty is the only one from the Urban Cooperative Banking Sector of the state to have received this award. On the occasion, 83 persons from across the country were felicitated for their contributions towards society.
It bears recall that Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddarmaiah had inaugurated the three day event attended by over 3 lakh people.
