Mannarkkad Rural Service Cooperative Bank in Palakkad district has been selected for the M V Raghavan memorial award for the best Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in the state says New Indian Express.
Instituted by Karasseri Service Cooperative Bank in memory of former Cooperation Minister M V Raghavan, the award carries a purse of Rs 1 lakh, citation and a memento.
Announcing the award, bank president M K Abdul Rehman, said among other things the bank was able to ensure 99 per cent of repayment on the Rs 20 crore sanctioned for Kudumbashree workers. The state Cooperation Minister will give away the award at a ceremony to be held in Kozhikode.
