Sikkim State Cooperative Union (SICUN) Chairman Dr. Mangal Jit Rai met Dr. J.M. Vyas, the first Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan Sahakar University, on Monday in Gandhinagar.
Dr. Rai congratulated Dr. Vyas on his appointment and presented the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed North East Cooperative Excellence Training Centre at Assam Lingzey, Sikkim.
He also highlighted the Sikkim government’s strong support for cooperatives, including dairy farmer incentives and a new award scheme for top-performing cooperative societies.
Dr. Rai invited Dr. Vyas to visit Sikkim—a proposal that Dr. Vyas warmly accepted, expressing his support for furthering cooperative development in the region.
