Managing Data: SVC ties up with Pentagon

Now a days, considering an exponential growth in customer data banks in India including cooperative banks are using the last particle of their energy to partner with sophisticated data management platforms. It is this need that seems to have led to SVC Cooperative Bank tying up with Pentagon Systems and Services, reports Data Quest.

The SVC Bank is one of the leading urban cooperative banks in the country. Established way back in 1906, the bank has 198 branches and 5000 ATMs across the country providing an array of high technology enabled banking services.

The decision to forge ties with Pentagon [Commvault] was taken after full consideration for scalable and effective backup. The SVC Bank’s present backup software was not up to the mark causing loss of time and scarce resources.

Ajit Venugopalan, Managing Director, SVC Bank is quoted claiming Commvault’s Data Protection solutions met the bank’s needs by providing the flexibility to continue to export data backups to tape devices while reducing costs. Now the bank could deliver a solution that is scalable, reliable and compliant to the latest industry regulations as also increase customer satisfaction and business.
