Mizoram State Agriculture, Horticulture and Marketing Cooperative Federation (MAHFED) has signed an MoU with Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Ltd (BBSSL) to ensure the supply of high-quality, high-yielding seeds to farmers across the state.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Agriculture and Cooperation Minister Pu P.C. Vanlalruata said the agreement would significantly benefit cultivators in Mizoram by giving them access to better and healthier seeds that can enhance productivity and income.
He appreciated both organizations for finalizing the partnership and reaffirmed that the government remains committed to supporting farmers and promoting agricultural growth in the state.
BBSSL, a National Cooperative Society and one of India’s leading seed-producing organisations, supplies certified seeds across the country.
Under this MoU, BBSSL will serve as the Nodal Agency of the Cooperation Department and work closely with MAHFED to ensure the availability of quality seeds throughout Mizoram.
