The Maharashtra government has mandated that 70 percent of jobs in District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) be reserved for candidates from the respective districts to boost local employment, reports PTI.
It has further decided that all future DCCB recruitments will be conducted only through reputed agencies such as the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), TCS-iON, or Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd (MKCL) to maintain transparency and fairness.
The move is seen as a major step toward strengthening cooperative institutions and promoting equitable job opportunities across the state.
