In a significant stride towards digitization of the cooperative credit structure, Maharashtra has made remarkable progress in the implementation of the PACS Computerization Project.

As of 30th June 2025, out of the 12,000 approved Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in the state, 11,954 have been successfully onboarded onto the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform.

Districts such as Ahmednagar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Palghar, Pune, Raigad, Sindhudurg, Thane, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Parbhani, Washim, Yavatmal, Beed, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nanded, Osmanabad, and Solapur have achieved 100% onboarding.

Several other districts are also nearing completion. Kolhapur, with 1,751 approved PACS, has onboarded 1,725, while Satara has even exceeded its approved target with 942 ERP onboardings against 933 approvals. Similarly, Amravati (219 onboarded vs. 214 approved) and Nashik (615 onboarded vs. 614 approved) have shown overachievement in the process.

Minor gaps remain in districts like Jalna (9 PACS pending), Ratnagiri (5 pending), Sangli (11 pending), Hingoli (1 pending), and Latur (7 pending), but the overall progress marks a significant milestone in enhancing efficiency, transparency, and service delivery of rural cooperative institutions.

The details were shared by the Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in Lok Sabha.
