Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan presided over a special event at Raj Bhavan to commemorate the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 and the Foundation Day of the Union Ministry of Cooperation. The programme was organized by the Department of Cooperation, Marketing, and Textile, Government of Maharashtra.
During the event, the Governor felicitated representatives of the 112-year-old Mahim Cooperative Society, Palghar, in recognition of its longstanding contribution to the cooperative movement. He also participated in the ‘Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam’ initiative by planting a sapling.
The event was attended by Cooperation Minister Babasaheb Patil, Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of State Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, Commissioner of Cooperation Deepak Taware, Joint Secretary Santosh Patil, and other senior officials, reflecting the State’s commitment to advancing cooperative values.
