In a fresh move the Maharashtra government has allowed all cooperative housing societies to conduct Annual General meeting (AGM) virtually till December 31st of this year. This is the second extension given by the state govt reports Free Press Journal.
It bears recall that earlier, only co-operative societies with over 50 members were allowed to conduct their meetings virtually.
Ramesh Prabhu, Chairman of Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association has welcomed the govt. decision. Prabhu said now even smaller cooperative societies could hold their virtual meetings.
