Rawla and other branches of the Ganganagar Central cooperative Bank [GKSB] disbursed short term loans despite the official order disallowing it.
A high level inquiry ordered in the matter has indicted 9 officials for fraud. As per the order issued by Additional Registrar Bhola Ram 4 of the indicted officers have been suspended and the then manager of the Rawla bank Somta has been dismissed. Somta was to retire on Sunday.
An order has been issued for taking strict action all the erring officials including Somta who is alleged to have distributed loans to the tune of Rs 15 crore among new farmer members.
This is also supposed to have violated the model conduct already enforced in the state. Action is being taken as per the order received from Jaipur.
