Laxmi Multi State Co-op enters into election mode

The election process for Karnataka-based Laxmi Multi State Cooperative Credit Society is underway, with polling scheduled to be held on 3rd January 2025.

The provisional list of eligible members entitled to vote has been published, with 380 members deemed valid. The final list of eligible voters will be published on 19th December 2024.

Candidates can file their nomination papers between 20th December 2024 and 24th December 2024. The final list of contesting candidates will be published on 27th December 2024.

Polling will take place on 3rd January 2025, with the counting of votes scheduled for 5th January 2025, and the results for the election of Board of Directors will be declared on 8th January 2025.

Meanwhile, speaking to the Indian Cooperative correspondent, Nagendra Mali, founder of Laxmi Multi State Cooperative Credit Society, mentioned that he is still contemplating whether to contest the election this time.

Laxmi Multi State Cooperative Credit Society is one of the largest in Karnataka, with a network of 100 branches and a business mix of around Rs 400 crore.
