Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, popularly known as Lalan Singh, will chair the Regional Review Meeting for the North Eastern Region in Aizawl, Mizoram, on May 25.
Organised by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, the meeting will review progress of fisheries, livestock and dairy schemes across the eight northeastern states and discuss future strategies for sustainable growth and livelihood enhancement.
Union Ministers of State S. P. Singh Baghel and George Kurian, along with state ministers and senior officials, will attend the hybrid meeting.
During the programme, the Union Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for fisheries projects worth Rs. 32.15 crore under PMMSY and FIDF. The event will also feature launches of a dairy cooperative survey, an African Swine Fever awareness film, a pig farming booklet, MULCO Cow Ghee, and fisheries beneficiary interactions and award distribution.
