Uttarakhand based Kurmanchal Nagar Sahkari Bank has successfully migrated its official website to the secure .bank.in domain, becoming the first Urban Cooperative Bank (UCB) in Uttarakhand and among the top 10 UCBs in India to achieve this milestone.
The move underscores the bank’s strong commitment to trust, security, and digital leadership, while also aligning with national efforts to strengthen the cybersecurity framework in the financial sector amid rising digital payment fraud.
It may be recalled that on February 7, 2025, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced the rollout of the exclusive .bank.in domain for Indian banks to curb online fraud and boost confidence in digital banking. The RBI later mandated, through its April 22 circular, that all banks must migrate to .bank.in by October 31, 2025.
Globally, the .bank domain is recognized as the gold standard in banking security, specifically designed to protect customers from phishing, fraud, and other cyber threats. With this migration, Kurmanchal Nagar Sahkari Bank has reinforced its position as a proactive and digitally forward cooperative bank.
