Union Minister for Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy held a detailed discussion with Union Minister of State for Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol at Parliament House on issues related to cooperative sugar mills and milk dairies in Karnataka.
The meeting focused on the challenges faced by the cooperative sector and its future development prospects in the state.
During the interaction, emphasis was laid on strengthening cooperative institutions engaged in sugar and dairy production. Key issues such as modernization of cooperative sugar factories, support for dairy cooperatives, financial sustainability and farmer welfare were discussed in detail.
According to a post shared by Murlidhar Mohol on Facebook, the meeting highlighted the need for coordinated efforts between the Centre and cooperative institutions to enhance operational efficiency and ensure fair returns to farmers. Measures to promote sustainable growth of the cooperative sector in Karnataka were also deliberated.
