Kulshrestha takes over as MD of UP State Co-op Bank

The soft spoken and mild-mannered Rajesh Kumar Kulshrestha has been given the full-fledged charge of the new Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank.

He replaced Varun Mishra. Now, Mishra has moved to his parent organization at the RCS office as Additional Registrar.

Talking to the Indian Cooperative, Kulshrestha said, “I have taken charge as the new MD of UP State Cooperative Bank and will work to take the bank to new heights. I am very thankful to the State Cooperation Minister JPS Rathore, Principal Secretary BL Meena and others for appointing me as the MD of the said bank”.

It bears recalling that earlier, Kulshrestha was the MD of UP Sahkari Gram Vikas Bank and due to his efforts, the bank which had been in losses for many years, was able to earn a profit of Rs 98 crore in the 2022-23 financial year.

Kulshrestha had started his career as an official of the Cooperative Department and now holds the top position in the state level co-op institution.
