The spirit of International Women’s Day was fervently embraced in Udupi as the Mysore Regional Office orchestrated a commemorative event at Diana Hotel. The ceremony, graced by esteemed dignitaries, emphasized the indispensable role women play in society.
Sri. G. Nanjanagowda, President of KSSFCL, inaugurated the program, stressing the imperative of empowering women economically and socially. Mr. Manjunath S K, Director of KSSFCL, presided over the event, while Mrs. Bharti G Bhatt and Mrs. Shailaja Tappali, Directors of KSSFCL, alongside Mr. Jagannath Shetty, President of Udupi District Souharda Cooperatives Okkuta, were honored as chief guests.
Highlighting the pivotal role of women in familial and societal spheres, Sri. Manjunath M K, Director of KSSFCL, underscored their contributions as the backbone of families and the catalysts for men’s success. He advocated for heightened focus and support towards women empowerment from governmental, non-governmental, and societal entities.
The event featured insightful sessions led by distinguished speakers. Mrs. Arpita Shetty, Lecturer at Manipal Education Group, delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the theme of “Inclusion of Inspiration” during the first session. Subsequently, Mrs. Sandhya Shenai expounded on the topic of Women Empowerment, enriching the discourse.
Senior officers, led by Sri. Sivakumar Biradar, extended warm introductions and welcomed the participants, totaling an impressive 122 individuals. The event served as a platform for dialogue, education, and empowerment, encapsulating the essence of International Women’s Day and fostering a more inclusive and empowered society.
