On October 15, 2025, Mr. S.S. Yadav, Managing Director of Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), assumed the role of Chairman of Oman India Fertiliser Company SAOC (OMIFCO).
This appointment underscores KRIBHCO’s significant stake in OMIFCO, where it holds a 25% share alongside Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), which also owns 25%, and Oman Oil Company SAOC (OQ), which holds the remaining 50%.
Yadav’s leadership was evident as he chaired OMIFCO’s Ordinary General Meeting in Muscat, Oman, on the same day. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Marhoubi, CEO of OMIFCO, the Chief Financial Officer, and other senior officials.
OMIFCO operates a state-of-the-art two-train ammonia-urea fertiliser manufacturing plant in the Sur Industrial Estate of Oman. Established as a joint venture between the governments of Oman and India, the company plays a pivotal role in the fertiliser sector, producing and distributing ammonia and urea to meet agricultural demands.
Yadav’s appointment is anticipated to strengthen the collaborative ties between Oman and India in the fertiliser industry, fostering further growth and innovation in the sector.
